Frédéric de La Chapelle was born in 1959 in Angers. Between 1981 and 1983 he studied at the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere in Paris. He began performing in various trades in the field of graphic design and communication. In 1995, he directed his first documentary fashion, and two years later, his first solo exhibition at Bains Douches.
He then exhibiting his own work at the Art Gallery The Unexpected in 1999, the Vega, the Sixth Element, the Select.
Frédéric de La Chapelle now lives between Paris and Lome and travels in Africa, putting his art in the service of the greatest African designers.
